A lot of pretty people have become models and have made a lot of money. You do not necessarily have to be gorgeous to get modeling work and work at least part of the time.
For some people there could not be a more glamorous way of life than to have people take your picture and pay you money. That is what models do and some of them become very successful at it. If you think that you just do not have what it takes to be a model, you might be mistaken. Today there are very few real requirements for modeling no matter how big or small you are. You do not even have to be beautiful in the traditional sense of the word. What you do need is a nice smile with good teeth, that is pretty much essential. If you have that, then you too might be able to get work be a model.
Of course, not everyone can be a Kathy Ireland, Tyra Banks or Cindy Crawford, but there is plenty of modeling work for all kinds of people. If they need an older gentleman to wear a trench coat, then they need a man of appropriate age to do it. If they need a plus size lady to model plus size clothes, then that might be you. Children often get their start
modeling when they are very young for catalogs, sales papers or a number of other advertisement media.
One of the key ingredients for becoming a working model is a good personality. You must have a good work ethic and know how to present yourself. You have to have self confidence that will get you noticed, yet not be too out there. You can easily look up job offers using the Internet these days. If you are seriously considering trying to break into modeling, even part time, you should check into getting an agent. This is the best way to have the work find you, but not everyone has an agent. You will likely need some good professional photographs of yourself to send out if needed and to leave with people you might be able to work with later.

You might not have the perfect nose or even stand out eyes, but that does not mean you might not be right for some job somewhere.
