Do you believe in the law of attraction? If not, then perhaps it is time to reevaluate your outlook on your life. Believe it or not, the law of attraction is not simply a fad that has been showing up all over the talk shows. Rather, it is a comprehensive life understanding that, used correctly, can greatly improve your life. The law of attraction is the basic principle of "like attracts like", and that one can improve their life by thinking positively and sending positive energy out into the universe. Basically, it is the good old idea that "you always get what you give!"
Perhaps you have been feeling as if you are in a slump, a rut that is not changing. Answer this question: do you live in a cluttered and disorganized home? If the answer is "yes," then perhaps it is time to do something about it! Cleaning your home is a great way to clear your mind and recapture your inspiration. Most importantly, the rut in your life will disappear and be replaced with new interests and new activities. We truly are our surroundings, and living in a clean, organized and serene home can greatly help to clear your mind, your emotions and your outlook. Here is a great tip to help you get started:
Take Baby Steps. Too often, people who want to completely makeover their home will attempt to do everything in one day, only to give up in frustration after a few hours when the task, in its entirety, proves to be overwhelming. Instead of setting yourself up to fail, break the task of cleaning and organizing your entire home into a list of smaller tasks. Large tasks need to broken down into smaller tasks; and each task can be really small, such as "organizing the closet" or "sweeping the back porch."
After you have made a list of all the individual tasks that need accomplishing (it may be a few pages!) decide how many you can honestly complete in a day. Perhaps it is one or two, or perhaps you can complete four or five. Each day, complete the small tasks that you have assigned yourself. This way, you will find yourself closer and closer to a clean and organized home as the days and weeks progress, without having to give up and quit due to the overwhelming feeling from attempting to complete the entire task at once.
Remember that you did not make that mess in a day, and you will not be able to clear it out in a day, either. By giving yourself small, doable tasks you will be able to feel satisfaction and success as your home becomes your peaceful, nurturing and creative space. You will also be able to have a renewed sense of discovery, as the slump in your life disappears and new things show up to replace it.
