Among work at home positions there are specific opportunities that call for work at home agents or internet agents. This is a great way to make money at home.
If you are educated and have not got a job or cannot go out there and work at a regular job because you have small children or an invalid to tend for, you can opt for this kind of work. Becoming an agent is not about reading an advertisement and applying for a job with a resume.

Virtual Office Assistant or Call Center Agent
All you need to become a call center agent from your home is a phone line. You will need to work from home, answer phone calls from clients and perhaps do some data entry, schedule meetings, appointments, settle some minor queries. There is no set time or schedule for this job. You can work at your own pace, as long as you meet the quota or the set deadline.
Customer Service Agent
This type of agent works in a similar fashion to the above. He or she will be on the phone and will settle questions. The person will be employed by a large business and will be answering complaints about products or settling doubts about services and prices.
Virtual Collection Agent
This type of agent will be employed by a billing or credit card company. He or she will make calls to debtors informing them about payments due and questioning them on delays in payments. They will also explain the bills to customers.
Virtual Insurance Agent
This type of internet agent is hired by insurance companies online. They are given leads that are actually people who have visited the Insurance company website and left a query. The agent is then required to follow the lead and then if the people buy a policy the agent gets a commission.
To get these jobs, you would need to have some education.
A prior experience in a similar post would be beneficial though it is not compulsory. If you know another language, it will be to your advantage. Your resume should list all your previous experience, and should be neat and impressive. If you can, get a professionally done resume. You need to list relevant skills.
