Vision boards are called many things such as treasure map or creativity collage. Overall, a vision board is simply a poster board filled with pictures of things that a person would like to have in their life right now. The best part is that they are easy to make, and provide proven results.
The board is meant to be a reminder and an inspiration to achieve your goals whether it be a new job or a cool place you want to visit.
In my own life a vision board sort of reminds me of what my drawing looked like. Vision boards accomplish everything my drawing did. If you want help in defining what you want and putting your heart in your dreams, these items are for you. For example, I always knew that I wanted to display my art for many people to see. So I created a vision board that portrays me displaying my art to many people.
I've listed below some methods you can use to create your own vision board. Select the one which suits you most, subject to where you are on this journey of self-assertion.
Five Steps To Creating A Vision Board:
Step 1: Tear out desirable pictures from your own personal magazines. There is no gluing yet. Have a bit of amusement browsing the periodical and taking out pictures, writings or captions that catch your imagination. You'll soon get a sense how the board should be laid out. Try to get a big pile of images, words and phrases.
Step 2: Study the pictures you cut out, choose the ones that speak to you the most, and place them on the board. Discard images that no longer feel right. This is where you use your intuition. You'll get a sense how the board should be laid out. One example would be to give each corner of the board a theme. Pictures for your board can pertain to the people you love and doing what you love.
On the other hand, your images may end up everywhere on the board. If you want to add to the presentation, you can try folding the board in resemblance of a book. I've seen many come up with wildly creative ways to present a vision board.
Step 3: Now attach it all to the board. A glue stick usually works best, but tape is also effective. You can also use paint or markers to add extra emphasis on certain images.
Step 4: It's your choice whether to have this feature but it adds strength. Leave space in the center or middle of the vision board for an excellent photo of you where you look radiant and happy. A nice picture of you should be the main focus of the board with your visions circling you like planets orbit the sun.
Step 5: Place the vision board in an area where is will be seen by you through out the day. You can even have a mini vision board that is with you at work!
Now just sit back and dream about having all that you desire. With time, you'll begin to take the natural steps to achieving the goals.
To your success!
